Sam's No. 3

About

  • 4.8 ( 47 reviews)

Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.

One of the best breakfast spots in all of Denver. Delicious omelettes and diner food. Go in and get yourself a Colorado classic breakfast egg burrito smothered in cheese and green chili. They even have good vegetarian options.(Insider tip: If the wait for a table is long, order a cinnamon roll and coffee to tie you and your group over.)

Nice spot with friendly staff. Prompt service, both the server and food. I had the fried chicken breast sandwich with mashed potatoes while the wife had the All American cheeseburger and fries; both were tasty. Comprehensive menu where you'll likely find something you're in the mood for. Would definitely recommend.

Questions & Answers

Yes, yes they do

somewherr in a different dimension ?‍♂️

A bar in there

Yes, alcohol is available for purchase.

They have a Root Beer Shake on their menu, and serve ice cream and milk, so I'd imagine they could make a milk shake out of any other ice creams they have even though it's not listed on their online menu.

All three Sam's #3 in Denver live up to the family's tradition.

Yes Ann, they are open on Sunday! Have a great weekend!

Reasonably close to the Downtown CU dorms. About a half mile

Hello. We use both canola and soy. We can also use butter if requested on the flat top. Thanks!
